PA security violently assaults ex-detainee in front of his wife

Thursday 16-December-2021

The Palestinian Authority (PA) preventive security forces savagely assaulted an ex-detainee on Thursday in front of his wife and child before hauling him to one of its centers in Nablus.

The man was identified as Mujahed al-Talfiti an ex-detainee in Israeli jails from Talfit village in the southeast of Nablus.

Talfiti’s wife described the way in which the security elements treated her husband as “more despicable than barbarism” adding that their behavior reflected “the size of malice and hatred in their hearts.”

“My husband Mujahed was arrested and beaten in front of me and my seven-month-old child and my cellphone was taken from me without a warrant” she said.

She held the PA preventive security apparatus fully responsible for any harm coming to her husband and for any content or photos being leaked from her phone.

Meanwhile the PA security forces at dawn Thursday arrested three young ex-detainees from Ni’lin town in western Ramallah.

In recent weeks the PA security forces have escalated their violations against Palestinian citizens in the West Bank as part of their security collaboration with the Israeli occupation forces.

The PA security forces recently attacked a number of processions and receptions held for Palestinian citizens after they were released from Israeli jails as well as funerals held for martyrs.

They also summoned some citizens for participating in events held for ex-detainees.
