The Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad (PCPA) has urged the Palestinian people especially the Jerusalemites to intensify their presence at the Aqsa Mosque on a daily basis to protect it and thwart Israeli intents to temporally divide it between Muslims and Jews.
In a statement on Monday PCPA’s Jerusalem Commission said that the Israeli occupation police prevented in recent days a number of Palestinian citizens from entering the Aqsa Mosque during certain times at the pretext that it was not the time for Muslims to pray describing the Israeli step as “unprecedented.”
“The occupation’s treatment of our holy sites in such a way has occurred as a result of the absence of Jerusalem from the Arab and Islamic governments’ agendas” the Jerusalem Commission stated.
The Commission appealed to the Palestinian resistance factions the Muslim nation and the world’s free people to urgently move to defend the Aqsa Mosque and take strong action against the Israeli occupation state to curb its violations at the Islamic holy site.
