The Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ murder of Ghada Ibrahim Sabateen near the entrance to the town of Hosan west of Bethlehem on Sunday.
The PLC stressed in a press statement on Sunday evening that the execution of Sabateen leaving her bleeding to death “is a heinous crime that exposes the ugly face of the occupation and confirms its criminal mentality.”
The PLC offered condolences to the families of the martyr Sabateen and said that the occupation’s crimes will increase the determination of the Palestinian people to resist the occupier until the liberation of all of Palestine.
The PLC held Israel fully responsible for these crimes and practices “which are war crimes and crimes against humanity that require the occupation’s leaders to be prosecuted before the International Criminal Court.”
For its part Hamas Movement said that the crime of the cold-blooded execution of Sabateen in Hosan Bethlehem a mother of seven children “reveals once again the brutal behavior of the occupation and its terrorist army.”
The Movement stressed that this heinous crime and the ongoing crimes of the occupation require punishment and require escalation and sustainability of the resistance and engagement with it to deter it and stop its crimes until its final demise.
The occupation soldiers executed Ghada Sabateen by shooting her directly in the town of Hosan while she was passing on the main street in Hosan.
According to eyewitnesses the Israeli occupation soldiers left the martyr while she was lying on the ground without any help before a number of citizens were able to transfer her to Beit Jala Hospital in a private car. She was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at the hospital.
