CAIRO (PIC)– MP Mushir Al-Masri delegated amongst other MPs by the PLC to the Arab League refuted the “falsified information” relayed by MP Azzam Al-Ahmad a Fatah leader to the League about the Palestinian conditions.
Masri confirmed that he and other MPs had met secretary general of the Arab League Amre Mousa on Saturday night at his office in Cairo and briefed him on the facts and he realized how false was the information conveyed by Al-Ahmed the head of the Fatah parliamentary bloc in the PLC.
In a press release Masri said that Mousa’s position was balanced and the results were fruitful despite the distortion attempts of Al-Ahmed.
“The meeting was positive where we explained to him that what happened in the Gaza Strip was to ward off a systematic rebellion and to abort a coup against the election results. We also highlighted that the language of dialogue is the only possible way in the Palestinian arena and betting on foreign relations to subjugate the Palestinian people are an illusion” he stated.
The Palestinian delegation also urged the secretary general and the League to assume their responsibilities towards 6000 Palestinians stuck at the Rafah crossing and to conduct contacts with the concerned parties to open the terminal.
Regarding PA chief Mahmoud Abbas’s edict of suspending salaries of a big number of civil servants the delegation strongly condemned the decree that deprived 31000 Palestinians from their salaries.
