PLC holds challenge session on the eastern Gaza border

The Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) on Monday held a parliamentary session in al-Zaitoun neighborhood east of Gaza in challenge of the Israeli occupation and for the support of the upcoming return massive marches. The session was held under theme of “Yes to the right of return No to Trump’s decisions”.

Ahmad Bahar First Deputy Speaker of the PLC said the session is an attempt to show loyalty to over five million refugees who were expelled from their homeland in 1948. The participants are going to erect tents along the border where representations of the occupied Palestinian cities and towns will be exhibited.

He revealed that the PLC sent letters to speakers of Arab and Muslim parliaments calling for offering protection as well as political and media coverage of the return marches.

For his part MP Mohammad al-Ghoul head of PLC legal committee called for establishing a fund for efforts exerted for achieving the goal of the right of return and supporting the return rallies. He also stressed the importance to activate research centers and institutions working in this field.

The MP of Fatah Movement Ashraf Juma for his part called for a large-scale participation in the return massive marches.

Khaled a-Batch head of the higher national committee of the return marches and breaking the siege said that the marches aim at returning to Palestine especially after the failure of the peace process talks and the US President Donald Trump’s decisions on Jerusalem.
