GAZA (PIC)– The PA legislature on Sunday condemned the latest wave of IOF troops’ massacres against the unarmed Palestinian people in the West Bank and Gaza Strip that claimed eight Palestinian lives in less than 24 hours.
The PLC held the Israeli occupation government fully responsible for the military escalation and for any adverse repercussions that might be spurred by that escalation calling on Palestinian resistance factions to consolidate their ranks and to hit back at the IOF troops.
In a statement it issued and a copy of which was obtained by the PIC the council also called on the international community to carry out its mandate in bridling the IOF troops’ aggressions and in halting the incessant Israeli defiance to international laws and statutes.
Eight Palestinian citizens were gunned down with bullets of IOF troops and undercover units seven of them including a 17-year-old girl in the West Bank cities of Jenin and Nablus and the eighth fatality was killed in an Israeli air strike on a civilian car in northern Gaza Strip.
Spokesman of Hamas Movement in the West Bank condemned the Israeli massacre and described the latest IOF military escalation as a “Clear indication of Israel’s savage mentality and enmity to the Palestinian people”.
He added that the IOF massacres serve as a “clear Israeli answer to the Arab peace initiative and also to those calling for calm with the Israeli occupation government”.
For his part Nafez Azzam the prominent political leader of the Islamic Jihad that lost three of its cadres in the massacre seconded Hamas’ remarks affirming that the IOF crimes against the Palestinian people will not “break the spirit of resistance and determination of the Palestinian people”.
He also underlined that the current IOF hostilities against the Palestinian people support his Movement’s affirmation that the Israeli occupation government doesn’t want peace in the region and that negotiating peace with it is indeed was “a waste of time”.
