PMF: 30 journalists subjected to Israeli violations since July 14

Saturday 29-July-2017

Palestinian Media Forum announced on Saturday that some thirty Palestinian journalists have been subjected to Israeli violations namely arrests and assaults leading to the injury of some of them since the Jerusalem protests erupted on July 14.

In a statement on Saturday the PMF strongly condemned the Israeli storming of Palestinian media offices in the West Bank at dawn Saturday.

Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) raided al-Quds satellite channel’s office and the headquarters of Pal Media in Ramallah city. IOF soldiers wreaked havoc in both offices and confiscated hard disks and media materials at the pretext of working for illegal parties the statement said.

The Forum pointed out that this was the second time in which IOF troops stormed the headquarters of al-Quds TV. Five of its employees had sustained injuries while covering latest protests at al-Aqsa Mosque. Al-Quds correspondent in Ramallah Mustafa al-Khawaja was detained for a few hours the statement added.
