Israel’s military courts have recently issued administrative detention orders against 50 Palestinian prisoners with no indictment or trial.
According to the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) on Tuesday one Palestinian woman and a university professor called Isam al-Ashqar are among the detainees who will spend three months in administrative detention.
16 of those administrative prison orders were issued for the first time against detainees and 34 others were extensions to previous administrative jail terms.
Those administrative detention verdicts ranging between two to six months were issued in the period from 16 to 30 August.
