The Israeli prison authority has transferred hunger-striking prisoner Majd Abu Shamla from solitary confinement in Negev jail to another one in Ashkelon despite his deteriorating health condition.
The Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said that Abu Shamla who has been on hunger strike for about 26 days in protest at his detention administratively vomits the water he drinks and suffers from severe headaches low blood pressure and general physical weakness.
The PPS pointed out that hunger striker Hasan Rabai’ah was also transferred to an isolation cell in Ela jail.
Rabai’ah also started his hunger strike about 26 days ago to pressure his jailers to end his administrative detention.
