Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Sunday that 7 deaths 314 new cases of the coronavirus and 810 recoveries were recorded in Palestine after conducting 2611 examinations during the past 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 3 deaths were recorded in the West Bank: Salfit 1 the suburbs of Jerusalem 1 and Jenin 1 in addition to 4 deaths in the Gaza Strip.
She noted that the new infections were distributed as follows: Qalqilya 8 Tulkarem 22 Jenin 29 Tubas 6 Nablus 61 al-Khalil 12 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 2 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 26 Bethlehem 5 Salfit 1 the suburbs of Jerusalem 0 and the Gaza Strip 142.
The new recovery cases were recorded according to the following: Qalqilya 30 Tulkarem 140 Jenin 252 Tubas 16 Nablus 183 al-Khalil 29 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 2 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 48 Bethlehem 13 Salfit 4 the suburbs of Jerusalem 1 and the Gaza Strip 102 the minister added.
Kailah said that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 95.1 percent while the rate of active infections reached 3.8 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
She pointed out that there are 80 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 26 who have been placed on ventilators.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the minister noted that the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 266611 including 193792 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
