The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that 8 deaths 652 new cases of Coronavirus and 1208 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.
Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health said in a press statement on Friday that the new deaths were recorded for a 76-year-old citizen from Tulkarem a 90-year-old citizen from Halhul in the al-Khalil a 60-year-old citizen from Dura in al-Khalil a 34-year-old citizen from Al-Ram town and a 58-year-old citizen from Mehmas on the suburbs of Jerusalem. They were all suffering from chronic diseases except for the deceased citizen from Dura in addition to two deaths recorded in Jerusalem and the death of an 83-year-old woman from the Gaza Strip.
Kailah indicated that the new cases were distributed according to the following: al-Khalil (157) Nablus(26) Bethlehem (56) Qalqilya (16) Ramallah and Al-Bireh (87) Jenin (35) Jericho and Al Aghwar ( 17) Tubas (22) Tulkarem (32) Gaza Strip (80) the suburbs of Jerusalem (64) and Jerusalem city (60).
70.5 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases is 28.9 percent and the death rate is 0.6% of the total cases.
Kaila indicated that new cases of recovery were recorded in: Jenin (18) Qalqilya (57) Tubas (1) Nablus (24) al-Khalil (777) Bethlehem (84) Tulkarem (6) and Jerusalem (241).
The Minister indicated that there are 34 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units and five of them have been placed on ventilators.
