Palestine rises up in ‘Friday of Rage’ in support of the prisoners

Protests and confrontations took place all over the Palestinian cities on Friday after many calls for Friday of Rage in support of the prisoners.

The Palestinian prisoners are facing punitive measures by Israeli Prison Service (IPS) after 6 prisoners successfully tunneled their way out of Gilboa Jail.

In Nablus hundreds of Palestinian youths confronted IOF soldiers in mount Sobeih. IOF soldiers fired bullets and tear gas at the protesters. 40 Palestinians were injured including a journalist.

In Bethlehem Palestinian youths clashed with IOF soldiers at the northern gate of the city. The IOF fired bullets and tear gas at the protesters; no injuries were reported.

In Gaza Hamas organized a rally in Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza Strip in solidarity with the prisoners.

In Ramallah Palestinian youths clashed with IOF soldiers in front of Bet El settlement and in Ni’lin village.

In Tulkarm many Palestinian national organizations organized a rally to support the prisoners. The protesters urged the human rights institutions to exert pressure on the Israeli occupation authorities to stop the suppression of the prisoners.

In Jenin rallies were organized in Arraba and Ya’bad villages to support the prisoners. In Arraba the protesters marched to the house of Mahmud A’rada one of the Gilboa escapees.

In Qalqilya 4 Palestinians were injured by rubber-coated metal bullets fired by IOF during the weekly protest in Kafr Qaddum.

In al-Khalil IOF suppressed the Beit Ummar protest and fired tear gas and stun grenades at the protesters no injuries were reported. In the same regard hundreds of Palestinian citizens participated in the rally which took place after Friday prayer in Hebron Center to support the prisoners
