The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah announced on Friday that 16 deaths 2248 new cases of the coronavirus and 1709 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.
The ministry confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 89.5 percent while the rate of active infections reached 9.4 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
It stated that the new infections were distributed as follows: Tulkarem 125 Salfit 33 al-Khalil 271 Nablus 232 Jenin 160 Qalqilya 34 Bethlehem 56 Tubas 31 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 13 Jerusalem suburbs 14 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 94 and Gaza Strip 1185 .
The ministry pointed out that there are 204 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 63 who have been placed on ventilators.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 89933 including 10146 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
