The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah announced on Wednesday that two deaths 216 new cases of the coronavirus and 387 recoveries were recorded during the last 24 hours.
The ministry confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that the two deaths were recorded in the Gaza Strip.
It pointed out that the new infections were geographically distributed to 17 in the West Bank and 199 in the Gaza Strip.
33 new recovery cases were recorded in the West Bank while 354 recoveries were recorded in the Gaza Strip the ministry added.
It stated that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 97.8 percent while the rate of active infections reached 1.1 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
The ministry pointed out that there are 13 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 2 who have been placed on ventilators.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 426897 including 258853 who received the two doses of the vaccine it concluded.
