Palestinian Women Abroad Association was announced in Beirut on Saturday in a press conference that concluded the Forum of Palestinian Women Abroad which was held on May 19-20.
According to the final communique the Palestinian Women Abroad Association aims at supporting Palestinian women through conducting educational and developmental programs in different fields.
It also aims at building cooperation and coordination relations with Arab and international organizations for the sake of serving the Palestinian Question in general and the Palestinian woman in particular.
The association is also concerned with Palestinian woman and family issues and with conducting researches and studies that support these issues.
The announcement of the foundation of the association comes in response to the recommendations of the Palestinians Abroad Conference that was held in Istanbul on February 25-26 this year.
The association called on all Arab and Palestinian institutions concerned with women and family affairs to work on enhancing mutual cooperation for the interest of the Palestinian Question.
The press conference also declared Nesrin Odeh as President of the Association Maha Abu Hadbeh as Vice President and each of Aidah Abu Ras Layla Wafi and Nardin Abu Naba the Association spokeswoman as members.
