Palestinian ambassador to Lebanon Ashraf Dabbour on Saturday visited Hamas’s office in Beirut and met with senior officials.
The Palestinian officials in their meeting voiced their rejection of the Israeli government’s plan to annex large parts of the occupation West Bank and described it as a “serious aggression”.
They stressed that the Palestinian people when united are able to thwart the Israeli plan calling for support from Arab and Muslim nations.
The Palestinian ambassador and Hamas’s representative in Lebanon Ahmad Abed al-Hadi praised the joint press conference by the deputy head of Hamas’s political bureau Saleh al-Arouri and the secretary of the Fatah Central Committee Jibril Rajoub two days ago.
Dabbour and al-Arouri saw that the joint conference is an important step on the path toward achieving national unity.
Both officials touched on the issue of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon and called on the Lebanese government to alleviate their suffering and support their steadfastness by giving them their civil and humanitarian rights.
They also called on UNRWA to carry out its duties towards refugees and adopt an emergency plan that meets their needs.
