Palestinian child Mohammed Serma 16 who was shot and arrested by Israeli occupation forces near Ramallah on Friday is held at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in serious health condition the Palestinian Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission said on Saturday.
The commission’s lawyer Kareem Ajwa said that Serma underwent a surgery on Friday in which one of his kidneys and part of the intestine were removed.
Serma suffered bullet injuries in the abdomen and the thigh when he was shot by Israeli occupation forces at a checkpoint near Beitin village east of Ramallah City.
According to Ajwa Israeli occupation forces allowed Serma’s parents to visit him at the hospital after obtaining a permit on Saturday.
