Uday Abu Khalil 15 who died of wounds sustained during protests in Ramallah marking the 70th anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba on May 15 was laid to rest on Thursday in his hometown village of Ein Sinia north of Ramallah.
Hundreds of mourners marched from Palestine Medical Complex heading to Ein Sinia town waving Palestinian flags and calling for revenge.
Abu Khalil’s body was taken to his family house for a last farewell before being buried in the local cemetery.
Abu Khalil was shot and seriously injured in the abdomen by Israeli soldiers during a protest in the north of Ramallah. He was moved to a hospital in Nablus for medical treatment but was pronounced dead of his wounds on Wednesday.
More than 112 Palestinians were killed and hundreds injured by Israeli forces at Gaza-Israel border and in the West Bank more than half of them were killed during protests on May 14 marking the Nakba anniversary and against the opening of the United States embassy in occupied Jerusalem.
