Palestinian civilian wounded in IOF shooting

NABLUS (PIC)– A 40-year-old Palestinian citizen was wounded at dawn Monday near his house in Nablus city at the hands of IOF troops who usually fire intensively in each incursion into Palestinian cities towns or refugee camps.

Witnesses said that IOF soldiers mounting army vehicles burst into the city shortly after midnight Sunday and roamed the streets in a number of alleys.

They added that the soldiers shot at Samer Al-Dibaik wounding him in his right foot and broke into the home of Surkaji family searching for Nabil Surkaji who is wanted by the IOF. The soldiers also arrested nine citizens.

The Hebrew radio quoted an IOF spokesman as saying that 15 Palestinians were rounded up overnight Sunday in various West Bank areas on suspicion of affiliation with resistance factions.

In Yamon west of Jenin city the IOF troops mounting tens of armored vehicles stormed the village.

PIC correspondent said that the troops entered the town at the early morning hours amidst intensified firing.

He added that the soldiers searched a number of civilian homes but no reports of casualties or arrests were available so far.
