Palestinian detainee Maher Hamdi al-Hashlamon 31 is need of an urgent medical surgery a human rights group said Wednesday.
According to the Muhjat al-Quds Foundation for Prisoners al-Hashlamon needs an urgent medical operation to remove shrapnel of an Israeli-inflicted bullet that penetrated his chest during the detention process a couple of years ago.
Detainee al-Hashlamon has also been diagnosed with a blister rash in his stomach and excruciating chest wounds. His health has taken a turn for the worse and he was transferred to the prison clinic on several earlier occasions. Medics told him that he needs to undergo an urgent surgery.
Al-Hashlamon was arrested by the Israeli occupation forces on November 10 2014 after he carried out an anti-occupation car-ramming and stabbing attack against Israeli targets at Etzion crossroads near al-Khalil in response to Israeli aggressions on the holy al-Aqsa Mosque.
An Israeli court issued two life-sentences and a fine of up to 3265000 shekels against al-Hashlamon.
Al-Hashlamon a native of al-Khalil province and a father of two children was born on March 10 1984 in Jordan.
