The Palestinian Doctors Group in Europe warned on Sunday against force-feeding the Palestinian prisoners in order to force them to break their hunger strike asserting that this is considered a murder attempt at the hands of the Israeli doctors.
The Palestinian Doctors Group said in a statement that they are following with concern the news coming from the Israeli prisons about the deterioration occurring in the health conditions of a large number of striking prisoners.
The Group held Israel fully responsible for any deterioration in the prisoners’ health condition pointing out that the delay in responding to their just demands which are guaranteed by the international law is intended to prolong the strike in order to exhaust the prisoners physically and execute them slowly.
The Group declared solidarity with the hunger strikers and their legitimate rights expressing readiness to work immediately with international health institutions to provide care medical examinations and necessary treatment for the prisoners.
They called on all international institutions especially the Red Cross and Doctors without Borders to pressure Israel to respond urgently to the prisoners’ medical and humanitarian demands and improve their detention conditions.
They asked the Arab and international legal institutions to expose the Israeli violations and medical negligence practiced against prisoners at European courts.
