The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested overnight and at dawn Monday several Palestinians including an elderly writer from al-Khalil to the south of West Bank.
According to the PIC reporter IOF arrested the writer and political activist Mohamed Said Mudeih 83 from Halhul town north of al-Khalil.
Mudeih was detained after being brutally attacked by a group of settlers from Karmei Tzur settlement.
He was trying along with a group of lawyers to prevent a land confiscation when he was savagely beaten by the settlers. He was then arrested by Israeli forces the PIC reporter said.
A mother and her son were also detained at dawn today after IOF stormed their house in Nablus which led to the outbreak of violent clashes.
Along the same line IOF raids were carried out in Kafer Hares town in Salfit with no arrests were reported.
Similar raids were reported in Jenin and its refugee camp amid heavy presence of IOF soldiers. At least one young man was arrested.
The neighboring towns were also stormed.
