Palestinian factions headed for Cairo to resume talks about the recent de-escalation deal with the Israeli occupation and Palestinian intra-reconciliation.
A few days ago Hamas Movement said Palestinian factions agreed to resume talks after Eid al-Adhha (Feast of Sacrifice) in an attempt to boost national unity and push for lifting the Israeli blockade on Gaza.
Talks brokered by Cairo and the UN have also been held in Egypt to seal a de-escalation deal between the Israeli occupation and Palestinian resistance factions.
Sometime earlier Hamas chief Ismail Haneyya said the siege on Gaza is about to be lifted as talks to that end have been ongoing and protests raging.
A Fatah delegation headed by Azzam al-Ahmad is slated to reach Cairo on Sunday to join the talk round.
Member of Fatah’s Central Council Jamal Muheissen said Fatah will inform the Egyptian intelligence about the Palestinian Authority’s rebuff of the truce deal with the Israeli occupation in Gaza in its current version.
