Palestinian fighters ambush IOF infiltrators in Gaza

GAZA (PIC)– Palestinian resistance fighters from the Islamic Jihad Movement have ambushed an IOF special unit that sneaked into the northern Gaza Strip city of Beit Lahia inflicting causalities in its lines.

According to a military communiqué issued by the Quds Brigades the Movement’s armed wing and a copy of which was obtained by the PIC the Islamic Jihad fighters monitored the Israeli force as it infiltrated into the city and took position atop a Palestinian house before surprising them by detonating three planted roadside bombs and engaging them in fierce armed clashes.

The statement furthermore affirmed that the attack inflicted a number of causalities in the IOF unit’s lines explaining that the attack serves as a confirmation that the Movement will continue the resistance path in defense of the Palestinian people and till occupied Palestine is completely liberated.

On Sunday Abu Ahmad the Movement’s spokesman in the West Bank affirmed that the IOF troops persistent arrest campaigns in the West Bank and the military onslaught on Gaza will not stop the resistance as Israel wishes.

A number of the Islamic Jihad cadres were rounded up at the hands of the IOF troops in Bethlehem city although the Movement affirmed that all the arrested members were involved in charitable works in the city.

For its part the armed wing of Hamas Movement the Qassam Brigades (QB) unleashed at least two homemade missiles at the Israeli settlement of Sderot and Miftahim Sunday night inflicting damage on one of the settlement’s houses according to Hebrew accounts.

Israeli military sources acknowledged the QB attack saying that one of the rockets had damaged a house and inflicted shock on a number of settlers in the incident venue.

No information on the outcomes of the second rockets was revealed by the sources.

In Ramallah city two Israeli settlers were wounded when Palestinian youths attacked their vehicle with stones on a road frequented by the Israeli settlers northeast of the city Hebrew sources revealed.

A number of Palestinian citizens were seriously wounded when Israeli motorists deliberately ran them over along that road.

The two settlers were reportedly rushed to hospital for treatment as IOF troops launched combing operations in search for the stone throwers.

At dawn Monday director of the change and reform parliamentary bloc office in Bethlehem city Malik Abdul Haleem Salhab 28 was arrested by the IOF troops for no clear reasons local eyewitnesses affirmed.

According to the eyewitnesses Salhab was arrested by the IOF troops more than once in the past and that the IOA had and still is denying him a permit to leave for study abroad.
