Gaza – Hundreds of Palestinian citizens swiftly rushed to the house of Palestinian resistance fighter Jamal Siyam in Zaitun suburb Gaza city on Monday night and formed a human shield around it after IOF troops threatened to flatten it.
Around 800 Palestinians including women children and elderly people among others were led by Hamas prominent political leaders Dr. Nizar Rayyan and Dr. Hassan Al-Saify in addition to the spokesman of the PA interior ministry Khaled Abu Hilal in shielding the fighter’s home.
This was the third successful time within three days where Palestinian masses challenged the Israeli F-16 and F-15 warplanes and thwarted aerial raids on Palestinian homes threatened to be shelled.
Rayyan affirmed in a speech he delivered before the Palestinian masses that the popular campaign for the protection of the fighters’ homes will continue till Israel halts such an abhorred policy against the Palestinian people.
“We have pledged before Allah to die as martyrs. Death comes only once so let us die as martyrs in the cause of Allah. Let’s foil the enemy’s schemes and crimes against our people and let’s show our solidarity with our fighters and tell them that they won’t be left alone in the battlefield” the Hamas leader stressed.
Representing the PA government Abu Hilal for his part affirmed that his presence with the Palestinian masses was “a message of the PA government that it was 100% standing behind the Palestinian masses in confronting the Israeli bloody crimes”.
“Our people proves day after day that it is a great people and capable of challenging Israel’s war machine. Your exemplary heroism is indeed a praiseworthy model” Abu Hilal addressed the gathered masses.
IOF aggressions in the West Bank persists:
In the West Bank IOF troops atrocities against Palestinian people continued as they surrounded house of Palestinian fighter Sharif Abu Hadid of the Quds Brigades armed wing of the Islamic Jihad for hours before arresting him in Bethlehem city.
According to eyewitnesses in the city the IOF troops held women and children in Abu Hadid’s house as hostages that prompted the fighter to give himself up.
In the city center more Israeli military vehicles were seen in the area amidst indiscriminate machinegun shooting that wounded eight Palestinian citizens.
Still in Bethlehem two Palestinian pupils were wounded in separate clashes between Palestinian pupils and IOF troops that raided the city near the city’s Church of Nativity.
Local sources revealed that the Church was desecrated by the IOF troops who were on way to arrest a number of Palestinian fighters prompting the clashes with the pupils.
