The Palestinian prisoner Khalil Awawda was moved to hospital after suffering a serious health deterioration following 57 days of hunger strike in protest against his administrative detention rights sources revealed Thursday.
The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) affirmed that the Israeli prison administration moved Awawda from the Ramle prison clinic to a civil hospital after a serious health deterioration.
Awawda a father of four children is from Idhna town in al-Khalil. He spent 12 years in Israeli jails including five in administrative detention.
He was rearrested by the Israeli occupation forces on December 27 2021.
The PPS also revealed that the prisoner Abdullah Al-Ardah from Jenin had waged an open hunger strike in protest against his solitary confinement since September 2021.
Al-Ardah was arrested in 1999 and sentenced to 26 years for being involved in anti-occupation activities.
