Palestinian hunger striker’s family sounds distress signals

Tuesday 29-November-2016

The family of Palestinian hunger striker Amar al-Hamour called Tuesday for mobilizing support for their son’s cause.

Al-Hamour’s family urged the human rights and popular institutions to rally around the detainee who has been on a hunger strike for 10 days running in protest at being held administratively with neither charge nor trial in Israeli jails.

Al-Hamour has been locked up in an isolated cell in Negev jail to force him to suspend his hunger strike.

The detainee vowed to keep up his hunger strike until he restores his freedom.

Prisoner al-Hamour was arrested in February 2016 and held in administrative detention. The occupation authorities extended his confinement in August.
