The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Sunday opened fire at a Palestinian citizen driving his car at the pretext of he was trying to carry out a vehicular attack on a road near Jenin in the West Bank.
The Hebrew website Walla claimed that a Palestinian driver tried to ram his car into a group of Israeli soldiers at the junction of Arraba town south of Jenin when they shot and injured him.
None of the soldiers was injured in the alleged ramming attack.
Later other media outlets said that the driver lost control of his car and hit a concrete block when soldiers on the road opened fire at him adding that he was moderately injured and taken in for interrogation.
The driver was identified as Nour Lahlouh from Arraba town according to Asra Media Office.
Skirmishes also broke out between local youths and Israeli soldiers in the area after the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint on the Jenin-Nablus road following the incident and embarked on intercepting passing cars.
