A Palestinian citizen on Friday chocked on teargas when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) violently attacked farmers trying to enter their lands which are threatened with confiscation near Telem settlement in Tarqumia village west of al-Khalil.
Naser Qabaja said that there are official documents proving that these lands are owned by Palestinian families.
Qabaja added that IOF soldiers constantly prevent Palestinian farmers from working in their lands in preparation for their confiscation in favor of a settlement expansion project.
A Palestinian citizen suffered breathing difficulty after IOF soldiers attacked Palestinian farmers with sound bombs and teargas canisters.
The IOF later announced the area a closed military zone and ordered Palestinian citizens not to approach it under the pretext that it is “Israeli property”.
