Palestinian injured by Israeli gunfire in Bethlehem

A Palestinian young man suffered a bullet injury at dawn Wednesday when an Israeli soldier opened fire at him at the northern entrance to Bethlehem city.

According to local sources 32-year-old Ahmed Abu Akr from Aida refugee camp was wounded in his leg when an Israeli soldier shot him from the military watchtower near the Bilal bin Rabah Mosque.

The young man was rushed to a local hospital in the city for medical assistance.

Many Palestinian citizens have been exposed to similar gunfire incidents during their presence near this military watchtower.
