A Palestinian citizen suffered a head injury on Saturday when a horde of extremist Jewish settlers stormed Asira al-Qibliya village in southern Nablus and attacked homes.
According to chief of the village Hafed Saleh settlers from the illegal settlement of Yitzhar attacked homes and property in the eastern area of Asira al-Qibliya but local young men confronted and fended them off.
A local resident called Abdul-Baset Mohamed was moderately wounded in his head when the settlers hurled stones at the local young men during the skirmishes.
Later Israeli soldiers intervened to protect the settlers and clashed with local youths. Swaths of agricultural land reportedly caught fire as the soldiers intensively fired tear gas and stun grenades during the events.
Jewish settlers repeatedly attack Palestinian areas in the West Bank where there are over 200 illegal settlements and dozens of small outposts.
Incidents of terrorism and violence by extremist Jewish settlers against Palestinians and their property are a daily occurrence throughout the West Bank.
