A Palestinian young man was killed after allegedly stabbing a Jewish settler on Thursday morning on a bus near an illegal settlement in the occupied West Bank.

According to Haaretz website a 30-year-old settler was seriously injured after being stabbed with a screwdriver by a Palestinian on a bus near the West Bank settlement of Efrat.

The alleged stabber was shot dead by an armed settler on the bus.

The incident took place at the Elazar junction on Route 60 south of Occupied Jerusalem.

The settler was given first aid at the scene and was then transferred to Jerusalem’s Shaare Zedek Hospital according to Israeli medical sources.

The Palestinian health ministry identified the slain young man as 30-year-old Nidal Ja’fara from Bethlehem.

The stabbing happened shortly after two Palestinian young men were killed and others were injured when the Israeli occupation forces stormed Jenin refugee camp in the morning and clashed with local youths.
