An Israeli soldier was seriously wounded in a Palestinian car-ramming operation at a military checkpoint near the West Bank village of Beit Sira on Wednesday morning.
According to security camera footage released by the Israeli occupation army a Palestinian driver exited a vehicle after ramming it into an Israeli soldier at the Maccabim checkpoint near Beit Sira and then attempted to strike him with a hammer or an exe.
The driver was shot dead immediately by the wounded soldier at the scene according to Israel’s Channel 14.
The soldier sustained limb injuries and was taken to Shaare Zedek Hospital in Occupied Jerusalem in serious condition the Hebrew media said.
The identity of the Palestinian martyr is still unknown.
