A Palestinian youth was killed during Israeli army quelling of a peaceful Palestinian march at Mount Sabih in Beita village to the south of Nablus on Friday.
Medical sources reported that Zakariya Hamayel 28 was shot in his chest during the confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) and Jewish settlers which led to his martyrdom.
On Friday afternoon settlers stormed the area and fired live bullets at the Palestinian citizens triggering violent confrontations between hundreds of unarmed Palestinian citizens on the one hand and the IOF and settlers on the other hand.
Two civilians were wounded by settlers’ bullets and a third by IOF bullets while many young men were injured as they were hit by metal bullets.
During the last few days two citizens from Nablus were martyred in defense of Sabih mountain.
IOF soldiers and Jewish settlers established an outpost on the mountain in a prelude to the establishment of a large settlement in the area.
