The Israeli authorities forced a Palestinian man to self-demolish his own house in Rahat in the Negev on Monday.
The 54-year-old Tayseer Arbash was forced to demolish his inherited house to avoid the Israeli demolition fees after he recently received an Israeli demolition order.
Arbash has inherited his house from his father who was first displaced from Harab al-Razuq area in 1979 and lived since then in the targeted property in Neighborhood 28.
“I have been trying for long years to obtain an Israeli building permit but it was in vain” Arbash said.
Israel’s demolition policy has been on the rise in the Negev as part of its systematic racist displacement policy against the Palestinian natives in 1948 Occupied Palestine.
