An Israeli court on Thursday sentenced a Palestinian minor to a one-year prison-term over allegations of hurling Molotov cocktails at Israeli patrols.
According to the Committee of Jerusalemite Prisoners’ Families Israel’s Central Court in occupied Jerusalem ruled that 17-year-old Ameer Awad be jailed for one year in Israeli occupation prisons.
The court also slapped a fine of $410 against the minor.
The occupation authorities claimed that Ameer was spotted on cameras installed in Jerusalem’s eastern town of al-Tur while throwing Molotov cocktails at Israeli troops.
The boy has been held in Israeli custody for six months running.
At the same time Israeli border cops attacked Palestinian civilians in Beit Hanina north of occupied Jerusalem before they arrested the young man Ali Qursh.
