The Follow-up Committee of the National and Islamic Forces strongly condemned the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Tor Wennesland’s statements during the UN Security Council briefing on September 15.
The committee pointed out that Wennesland has considered both the Israeli daily aggression and the Palestinian popular response as escalation of violence although 150 Palestinians were killed by Israeli gunfire including 100 on military checkpoints in West Bank.
The committee warned of such statements which were repeated more than once as a dangerous transgression of his job as a representative of the UN Secretary-General.
Wennesland’s primary mission is to defend and protect the UN resolutions laws regulations and decisions which are clearly violated by the Israeli Apartheid regime the Follow-up Committee added.
