NABLUS (PIC)– A 59-year-old Palestinian was wounded while a young man was kidnapped at the hands of IOF troops manning the Beit Eba roadblock west of Nablus city commuters reported.
They said that the soldiers detained the Palestinian youth who was carrying a bag at the barrier while one of them fired indiscriminately in all directions wounding Qassem Hamdan in his feet.
The witnesses said that the soldiers closed down the roadblock for a few hours after the incident and summoned sappers to check the bag which Hebrew press later alleged contained explosives.
For its part the Nasser Salahuddin Brigades armed wing of the popular resistance committee declared in Gaza its responsibility for firing two homemade Nasser-3 missiles at the Ashkelon city occupied since 1948.
The armed wing said that the “Zionist enemy” acknowledged the missile attack adding that it was in retaliation to the Israeli ceaseless crimes in lines of Palestinians in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
