A Palestinian man was forced on Saturday to demolish a garage he had built at his home for his car in Silwan town in occupied Jerusalem according to Wadi Hilweh Information Center.
The center quoted Iyad Ramadan owner of the garage as saying that he was ordered three months ago to remove the garage for allegedly being built without a permit.
He said he tried to postpone the demolition until he gets a permit but without success.
Few days ago Israeli municipality crews and police stormed the facility and gave Ramadan until Sunday to demolish the garage otherwise the municipality will demolish it at exorbitant costs plus $16000 fine.
Over the past few days Israeli authorities ordered the demolition of more than ten Palestinian homes in Qalandia town north of the occupied city.
