Palestinian prisoner denied family visitation for two years

JENIN (PIC)– The Palestinian prisoner in Israeli occupation authority jails Abdul Rahman Salah 55 has been deprived of family visits for two years as part of penal measures against him relatives of the internee reported.

They said on Wednesday that they were informed by the Red Cross office in Jenin that the ban on visiting Salah was extended till 17-7-2009 to complete two years of deprivation of family visitation.

Salah is serving a 25-year sentence and has been held in the Ramon desert prison for seven years now on charges of affiliation with the Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas.

Salah’s wife said that he was suffering serious eye problems after he lost his left eyesight other than a number of chronic diseases and that the prison administration was refusing to extend any treatment to him.

Meanwhile Israeli occupation forces at dawn Thursday rounded up 13 Palestinians in various West Bank areas including seven from Nablus three from Jericho and three from Al-Khalil.
