GAZA (PIC)– Palestinian resistance fighters from the Qassam Brigades (QB) the armed wing of Hamas have succeeded Wednesday in detonating a planted roadside bomb in an IOF tank setting it on fire east of Khan Younis south of the Gaza Strip.
According to eyewitnesses in the area four Israeli tanks advanced into the area in a bid to evacuate the IOF causalities and to drag the damaged tank amidst intensive hovering from Israeli choppers.
In a military communiqué it issued in this regard the QB warned the IOF that any military adventure into the Strip will be painfully retaliated to and it will have its toll on lives of the invading troops.
Fierce clashes had taken place in the southern Gaza Strip district of Khan Younis at dawn Wednesday after QB fighters spotted an IOF commando unit attempting to infiltrate into the city and immediately attacked them.
Four Palestinian fighters were reportedly martyred in the clashes after they inflicted a number of casualties in the Israeli soldiers’ lines.
Three Israeli settlers were also wounded and eight others suffered shock after four Palestinian homemade missiles slammed into the Israeli settlement of Sderot Wednesday night.
IOF sources acknowledged the attack and the casualties among the settlers.
The Quds Brigades the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad took the credit for the attack and vowed not to relax retaliation to the IOF crimes against the Palestinian people and the Palestinian resistance fighters.
Two more homemade Palestinian rockets were fired at the Israeli Sofa crossing point east of the Strip. The Ayman Jouda groups an offshoot of the AMB of Fatah and the armed wing of the DFLP claimed responsibility for the attack.
