A Palestinian young man was seriously injured by Israeli gunfire after he allegedly stabbed a Jewish settler on Saturday morning near the Old City of Occupied Jerusalem.
According to the Hebrew media the incident happened at the intersection of al-Thuri street and al-Khalil road.
Israel’s Channel 12 reported that a 35-year-old settler was lightly wounded in a stabbing attack in Jerusalem and was transferred to Shaare Zedek Hospital.
The stabber a 20-year-old man was shot by police officers who were in the area before he was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Tensions have risen in recent weeks after nine Palestinians were killed in violent police and military raids in the West Bank and Negev.
