A Palestinian teenager from the West Bank was arrested Sunday morning for a suspected hit-and-run in Ra’anana City (north of Tel Aviv) that killed an Israeli police officer last night.
According to Haaretz website a 17-year-old teenager from Ramallah fled the scene and was arrested following a manhunt in central Israel.
The Israeli police claimed the vehicle that killed the officer was stolen adding that they were questioning the boy about his motive.
The officer who was pronounced dead at the scene had been reportedly standing at a checkpoint that the police had set up following reports of a car theft in the area.
