A Palestinian teenager was shot dead during clashes at dawn Tuesday between resistance fighters and the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Balata refugee camp east of Nablus.
According to local sources 16-year-old Emad Hashash was killed by Israeli gunfire after the IOF stormed Balata camp and engaged in armed clashes with resistance fighters.
Israeli troops stormed the camp to carry out arrests but resistance fighters confronted them and opened fire at their patrol vehicles.
Resistance factions and local institutions mourned the teenager and declared a day of mourning in Balata camp.
During its campaign in the camp the IOF reportedly kidnaped a young man identified as Saad Kaabi from his home.
