Palestinian university wins international award

The Arab American University in Jenin won on Tuesday an award for the best computerized application automating the processes and procedures of serving employees and students worldwide.

This came during a conference organized by Laserfiche Company in the US state of California which is one of largest software companies in the world.

President of the Arab American University Prof. Ali Abu Zuhri said in a press statement on Tuesday that this award is “an achievement added to the history of the university.” He confirmed the university’s distinctiveness and continued pursuit of development in line with the global standards followed in the international institutions especially the academic ones.

The annual conference was attended by more than 3000 participants representing technology companies educational institutions and international universities that use this application.

The university’s representative at the conference Bahjat al-Issa affirmed that the university was chosen by a committee of executive directors from Laserfiche on the basis of creativity operational improvements potential and being a source of inspiration for other customers regarding digital transformation.

Al-Issa pointed out that the university will receive many advantages by getting this international award. These advantages include networking with hundreds of organizations around the world to exchange experiences in the field of electronic archiving and getting the PR KIT which include Template Press Release which is ready to be used in any local or international media agencies.

He added that the university was granted a special logo by Laserfiche and was given an opportunity to attend several technical training sessions on archive systems.
