A 20-year-old Palestinian youth died on Thursday night of serious wounds suffered during his participation in the funeral of the child Mohamed al-Allami who was killed by IOF gunfire earlier on Wednesday.
Israeli occupation forces (IOF) fired live bullets rubber-coated bullets and teargas at the participants in the funeral fatally wounding the youth Shawkat Awad in the head and abdomen. A number of other young men were injured in the IOF shooting.
Hundreds of Palestinians had taken part in the funeral procession of the child in Beit Ummar village in al-Khalil and chanted anti-occupation slogans and condemned the IOF targeting of children and civilians.
According to local sources 12-year-old Mohamed al-Allami suffered a fatal bullet injury in his chest and his death was announced by doctors at the Ahli Hospital in al-Khalil.
The child’s family accused the IOF of intentionally murdering its son affirming that the IOF opened fire with no reason at the car he was aboard with his family at the main entrance to Beit Ummar.
