A Palestinian young man identified as Omar Hasan Awawda 27 was shot and killed by the Israeli military on Tuesday in Idna west of al-Khalil in the southern occupied West Bank.
Director of al-Ahli Hospital Yousef al-Takrouri said Awawda was shot with several bullets and seriously injured in the back before he was transferred to hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Red Crescent paramedics transferred bleeding Awawda to the hospital. The Israeli-inflicted injuries turned out to be fatal.
The occupation army claimed soldiers opened fire at the casualty’s car after he refused to stop for search which allegedly posed a threat to the soldiers.
