A Palestinian youth was injured on Friday evening during confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) to the east of Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
The young man who is in his twenties was shot in the left foot in the clashes that erupted between Palestinian youths and the Israeli army near an Israeli military site according to local sources.
Medical sources reported that the injured youth was transferred to al-Aqsa hospital for treatment noting that the IOF fired live bullets and tear gas canisters at the youths.
Each Friday confrontations break out between dozens of Palestinian youths and the Israeli army in different parts of the eastern border areas of the Gaza Strip since the outbreak of the Jerusalem Intifada in October 2015.
