A Palestinian youth was injured Saturday evening after being shot by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) east of al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
The PIC reporter said that the IOF soldiers stationed at the border fence near the Great March of Return camps opened fire at a group of peaceful protesters east of al-Bureij camp.
He added that a Palestinian youth was moderately injured and transferred to a local hospital for treatment.
The Great March of Return was launched on 30th March along Gaza’s border with the 1948 occupied Palestinian territories to demand the Palestinian refugees’ right of return and call for lifting Gaza blockade.
Since the start of the border protests 157 Palestinians have been killed including 22 children and over 16000 injured.
