Two Israeli Border Guard officers were reportedly injured in an alleged stabbing attack at the Damascus Gate in occupied Jerusalem at dawn Monday.
Spokeswoman for Israeli police Luba Simari claimed a Palestinian young man stabbed two Israeli officers in occupied Jerusalem before being “neutralized.”
One sustained medium level wounds while the other was only slightly injured she added.
However the Palestinian Health Ministry did not confirm the young man’s martyrdom yet.
Meanwhile local sources affirmed that Israeli forces prevented ambulance crews from reaching the scene and evacuating the injured young man to hospital.
He was left bleeding for hours before breathing his last the sources added.
Sources in Mukkabir neighborhood in Occupied Jerusalem identified the youth as 25-year-old Ibrahim Mahmoud Mattar adding that Israeli occupation forces rounded up his mother and father from the suburb.
